I feel nervous and strangely accomplished As the only woman here at the bar with No one sitting by my side doing card tricks But I wanna go back to my apartment I don't wanna stick up my nose I just want a place to change my clothes So I pack my stuff, Strap my back with a Cornucopia Full of daffodils and love As you're giving me Thirty drinks for free Then the sun came up, Leaving me and a Cornucopia Full of dollar bills and love Lithe, and pleasantly I don't wanna leave I'm ecstatic and I laugh like I lost it. Am I the only woman without a conscience? I'm half-naked and I've emptied my pockets I don't know the way back to my apartment I wanna go make a misty home I just need a place to change my clothes

Goggles 03:22
When we locked eyes I puked up twenty dozen butterflies And felt fulfillment for the first time, but I don’t know what you think I’d scoop your brain out If that would show me what you think about Me and my tender darling doubts And also everything So don’t you see, you and me could be more? I’d be your friend ’til the end if you swore We’d be together, and that you’d never Leave me hanging underwater baby Dive deep down and save me, say I’m pretty Much all you need to keep your heart beating When I’m alone Sweating, destroying ramen in my home And get your call when the shops close I’m already wearing shoes That’s all I’ll ever be Someone with wheels who stays up after three Who most of all hates to be lonely But I’m about to lose I tried so hard to be part of your life Why don’t you see that I’m the perfect wife? I’m feeling sideways, you know, you always Leave me hanging underwater baby I’ve got goggles, I’ll go swimming and if You don’t like it, do what you gotta do. Ooooooooo You leave me hanging underwater baby I’ve got goggles, I’ll go swimming but if I say I like it, you know I’m lying You leave me hanging under the water baby I’ve got goggles, I’ll go swimming and if You don’t like it, do what you gotta do

The Matrix 02:27
My shirt’s inside out, just to try it With every button clamped to my aching sweat You said you didn’t mind it I put a record on, ‘cause I like it I thought the wailing shreds would just hurt your head Instead, you didn’t mind it Do you wanna go to a midnight showing of The Matrix? And if you turn me down, I’ll survive it I’ll put my life on hold to try to drown you out I doubt I could keep it quiet Do you wanna go to a midnight showing of The Matrix? ‘Cause I gotta know if Neo takes the red or blue Do you wanna go to a midnight showing of The Matrix? If you don’t, please promise me you’ll fake it ‘Cause I wanna take you

Oil in the Earth has placed a yoke around his neck Burdened, does he mind it, did he like the royal time he had? Wallace Everette Pratt built a cabin on a canyon line With blooming trees and tracks flowering around the desert and the mountain head Those mountains will take away the day, take away the day I want you to wake up anyway, wake up anyway Burned in his debacle, blames the new geology Birthing baby bottles but his covered hands are cold and clean My moments are broken on display, each of them decays I want you to save them anyway, save them anyway Oil in the Earth has placed a yoke around his back Burdened, does he mind it, did he like the royal time he had?

Pocket Dial 03:04
I sit alone in the night My ramen’s treating me right I start to buzz and my phone lights up It’s you I throw my hand to my phone I wait, then I say hello Either you’re waiting, or you don’t know that We’re talking I’m so tired of your pocket dial diary But never gonna hang up I will keep you on the wire ‘Cause you keep your deep desires In the words coming from your mouth About a quarter to ten You crack a brew with your friends And I’m still here on the line to listen To you (Repeat Chorus) (Repeat Chorus) I’m so tired of your pocket dial dial-up I’m so tired of your pocket dial dial-up

about

The Dreaded Laramie is a group of ragamuffin ruffians who bonded over a mutual love of philosophy textbooks and Weezer B-Sides.

"The Dreaded LaramiE.P." is an introduction to the core of The Dreaded Laramie’s sound: the blend of absurd power rock and tasteful pop craft that makes a strong first impression.

Recorded at Schematic Studios and Soundstage by Justin Francis, the band also recruited Rozwell Kid’s own Adam Meisterhans to produce the record. The duo’s experience working with not only bombastic indie rock and rollers but also some of Nashville’s biggest country heavy hitters (William Matheny, Kenny Rogers, Buddy Guy, Alison Krauss, Kenny Chesney) lends itself well to translate the excitement of The Dreaded Laramie’s live energy to a well polished recording.

The band strikes a balance between fun and catchy melodies and thought-provoking presentation. This debut EP is the first step on the band's quest to find "A brighter future, a starrier tomorrow, and a taller yesterday."
